    February 2023 Update

    In addition to my upcycled furnishing I have branched out into canvas art and also printed merchandise such as high quality ceramic coasters and mugs. These were produced in time for Christmas gifting and most of the stock sold well. The coasters are printed locally in Ayrshire from my own art. I will be creating new designs for spring/summer however these can be produced from most of my art images so please ask if there is a design you’d like printed.     Upcycled Fabric Chair

    I have a vintage style chair, which I love. I use it every day at my computer, its an old style but not a very old piece in terms of years. It was just the wrong colour for my surroundings … … so I decided to paint it. I used Fusion Mineral Paint colour Homestead Blue on the main chair structure and Fusion Mineral Paint Seaside on the upholstery. These shades perfectly compliment one another.     To paint or not to paint …

    …that is the question. Welcome to my very first blog. Most surprisingly, it’s not really about paint. Now I love to paint damaged furniture which for the most part has lost its way, or is generally just unappealing and when I was asked recently to go view some pieces for painting I surprised myself. “I hope those aren’t the pieces you’d like painted” escaped my lips.
